Calls for service including a stolen vehicle, burglary, DUI, and public intoxication kept deputies with the Riverbank Police Services busy during the past week.

On Sunday, Feb. 27 at 9:35 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 3400 block of Sierra Street on a report of a trespasser. Deputies made contact with a 41-year-old woman who was trespassing on the property. She refused to leave the premises, according to authorities. The property owner signed a citizen’s arrest and the woman was taken into custody.

On Saturday, Feb. 26 at approximately 12:15 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a dispute and subsequently served a 35-year-old man with a restraining order.

At 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Oakdale Road and Claribel Road. There, a suspect vehicle collided into the victim and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is outstanding, and the investigation is ongoing.

At 12 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, deputies responded to the report of a female exposing herself in the 6200 block of Eighth Street. The 54-year-old woman was found to be intoxicated and exposing herself to the public; she was arrested and booked into jail.

On Friday at 2 p.m., deputies responded to a traffic collision with minor injuries in the 5900 block of Claus Road.

The Sheriff’s Department MAIT (Major Accident Investigation Team) conducted a DUI checkpoint funded through the CHP Cannabis Tax Fund Grant on Friday. The checkpoint was located on Oakdale Road at Novi Drive, within Riverbank city limits. There were 553 vehicles that drove through the checkpoint and three DUI arrests were made. One subject tried to evade the checkpoint and was arrested, and another was arrested for public intoxication. There were six citations that were also issued for other vehicle code violations.

On Thursday, Feb. 24 at 9 a.m., deputies responded to the 2000 block of Channel Drive for the report of a stolen vehicle.

At 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to City Hall for the report of a forgery.

Thursday at 11:30 a.m., deputies responded to the 2000 block of Patterson Road for the report of a burglary.

At 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, deputies took a report for a subject who walked in to the station, reporting bad checks had been passed at his business.

On Thursday at 8:40 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a battery that occurred in the 6000 block of Terminal Avenue.

At 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23 deputies responded to a petty theft at Ulta.

Deputies responded to an elder abuse report on Briarcliff Drive on Wednesday at 10 p.m.

On Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 5:35 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Target on a subject refusing to leave. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted a 52-year-old man who was intoxicated. He was arrested for public intoxication.

At 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Patterson Road and Palmer Avenue on a two-vehicle accident with minor injuries reported.
