The final day of February ended with incidents including a suspect on the loose, a fight between juveniles, and reckless driving for deputies with Riverbank Police Services. March kicked off with several incidents including a hit and run, vandalism, fights, and shoplifting.

On Sunday, March 6 at 12 a.m., deputies responded to Sorensen Park for the report of a vehicle doing donuts on the grass. There were seven juveniles that were contacted and detained. A bb gun was found in the vehicle. The driver was arrested for vandalism and released to his parents. The vehicle was towed.

At 8 p.m. on Sunday, deputies arrested a 29-year-old man for shoplifting after he stole items from the Shell Station on Atchison Street.

Near midnight on Sunday, deputies conducted a bike stop for vehicle code violations near Seventh Street and Atchison Street. A subject attempted to flee on his bike but was stopped a short distance away where he was arrested for several outstanding warrants.

On Saturday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a petty theft at the Ulta.

On Friday, March 4 at 2:45 p.m., deputies responded to a security check in the 7000 block of Turnberry Lane. A female was found walking on the train tracks.

At 6 p.m. on Friday, deputies responded to a traffic collision, property damage only, in the intersection of Squire Wells Way and Claribel Road.

Deputies responded to the report of a shooting at the intersection of Ward Avenue and Palmer Avenue on Friday at 12:45 a.m. The investigation is still ongoing.

On Thursday, March 3 at 6:45 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 6000 block of Eighth Street. A 30-year-old man involved was found to have outstanding warrants. He was arrested and booked.

Deputies responded to a vandalism in the 6000 block of Eighth Street on Thursday, March 3 at 11:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, March 2 at 5:13 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a stolen vehicle in the 3000 block of Kentucky Avenue.

At 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to the report of a stolen vehicle in the 6000 block of Matthew Lane.

On Wednesday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m., deputies responded to the report of receiving stolen property in the 3000 block of California Avenue.

Deputies responded to the report of a vandalism in the 2000 block of Prospectors Court on Wednesday, March 2 at 1:40 p.m.

On Wednesday, March 2 at 4:45 p.m., deputies responded to a traffic collision, property damage only, in the intersection of Atchison Street and Third Street.

At 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to the report of a vandalism in the 5000 block of Cornerstone Drive.

On Tuesday, March 1 at 11 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Patterson Road and Oakdale Road on a non-injury accident.

At 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies were dispatched to Cardozo Middle School on a physical fight between two juveniles. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies were dispatched to Howard Avenue and Ward Avenue on a hit and run accident with no injuries on Tuesday, March 1 at 8 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.

On Monday, Feb. 28 at 1:10 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Jack in the Box, in the 2200 block of Patterson Road for use of lost and stolen credit cards. Upon arrival, they contacted the driver of the vehicle in the drive thru, Manuel Nunez, 42, who refused to cooperate with the deputy’s orders. Nunez broke free of the deputies and ran off, jumping fences. A firearm was found in the vehicle. Nunes is currently outstanding, and the investigation is ongoing.

At 1:15 p.m. on Monday, deputies were dispatched to Cardozo Middle School on a physical fight between two juveniles. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies viewed a subject spinning donuts in a 2019 Mustang at the intersection of Patterson Road and Estelle Avenue on Monday at 11:35 p.m. He was cited and released for reckless driving.
