SATURDAY, AUG. 19
7:15 a.m. – Deputies investigated a report of a stolen vehicle in the 5400 block of Boardwalk.
8:53 p.m. – Alarm sounding at Galaxy Theatre. It was determined an unknown subject or subjects pulled a fire alarm and sprayed a fire extinguisher in one of the restrooms.
9:36 p.m. – Deputies investigated an assault in the 2200 block of Patterson. One subject was stabbed multiple times. Police reported the arrest of Arianna Delcastillo, 21, on scene and a warrant was put out for Paul Duc Do, 21, in connection with the case.
FRIDAY, AUG. 18
3:39 p.m. – Deputies investigated a theft at Kohls. A 24-year-old woman was identified as the responsible. A warrant was put out for her arrest.
THURSDAY, AUG. 17
1:59 p.m. – Dispatched to Patterson and First for a vehicle vs. bicyclist report. Deputies were unable to locate any collision or persons in the area.
4:04 p.m. – Deputies responded to a water rescue at Jacob Myers Park. A woman had become stranded on the river and called her boyfriend for help. The woman was located in the river behind a residence in the 6800 block of Zerillo.
8:27 p.m. – Hit and run investigation; the responsible vehicle was stopped by deputies. An 80-year-old man was arrested for DUI. He was given a citation and released to family members.
WEDNESDAY, AUG. 16
5:05 a.m. – Deputies investigated a vehicle collision at Claribel and Oakdale. The involved parties did a name exchange and law enforcement was no longer needed.
9:48 a.m. – Vehicle collision investigation at Claribel and Litt roads.
2:08 p.m. – A 32-year-old woman was contacted by deputies at High Street and First Street in the park. She was subsequently arrested for an outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
2:13 p.m. – Deputies investigated a sexual assault that occurred several years ago in the 5800 block of Engstrom.
3:04 p.m. – Arrest reported of Ernest Baker, no age listed, for violation of parole in the 3400 block of High Street. He was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
3:21 p.m. – Deputies investigated a hit and run in the 2200 block of Patterson.
TUESDAY, AUG. 15
2:41 a.m. – Investigation into a subject sleeping at the wheel in a truck that was running at Prospectors Way and Jebediah Way. The 46-year-old man was subsequently arrested for DUI. He was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
4:06 p.m. – Deputies investigated a possible vandalism in the 6000 block of Canter.
6:34 p.m. – Report of terrorist threats in the 5700 block of Chancellor Way. Deputies arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with making the threats. He was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
8:39 p.m. – Deputies investigated an assault in the 2200 block of Tahoe Timber Way.
9:05 p.m. – Family fight reported in the 6200 block of Colony Park Drive. Both parties stated it was verbal only and there were no injuries.
Other highlights for the department during the past couple of weeks include the work being done by Community Resource Deputy, CRD, Buck. Authorities said Buck is in the process of working with Stanislaus County Code Enforcement to clean up a house at Highway 108/Mesa; is reaching out to county programs for the homeless to help with addressing homelessness in the Riverbank community; has positively identified two subjects responsible for a vandalism at the skate park on Aug. 13 and the report will be forwarded to the Stanislaus County Juvenile District Attorney for review.
Buck also assisted State Parole with locating two subjects that had not checked in and were homeless by the river. Both subjects were arrested and taken to the Stanislaus Detention Center.
