A busy week saw deputies responding to a number of calls for service in Riverbank over the past week including public intoxication, DUI’s, battery and several traffic accidents.

On Sunday, Aug. 21 at 1 a.m., deputies conducted extra patrol at Zerillo Park. A 21-year-old man was found at the park after dark. He reversed his car into a Sheriff’s patrol vehicle. He was found to be intoxicated and arrested for DUI.

On Saturday, Aug. 20 at 3 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a battery in the 2700 block of Sierra Street.

At 3:20 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to the report of an intoxicated person in the 2600 block of Topeka Street. A 33-year-old man was found in his vehicle intoxicated; he was arrested and transported to jail.

Deputies responded to the report of an intoxicated subject trying to get into backyards in the 3800 block of Kansas Avenue on Saturday at 6:45 p.m. The 34-year-old was found intoxicated and booked at county jail.

On Friday, Aug. 19 at 2:40 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Roselle Avenue and Ross Avenue. A 34-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence.

At 8:20 a.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, property damage only, at the intersection of Powers Avenue and Roselle Avenue.

On Friday at 8:50 a.m., deputies responded to a security check of juveniles in the 3900 block of Sweepstakes Drive. The juveniles were secure.

During the morning on Friday at 9:30 am, deputies responded to the report of a grand theft from the Home Depot.

On Friday at 1:30 p.m., deputies responded to the report of identity theft in the 5500 block of Litt Road.

Deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, hit and run, property damage only, in the 3300 block of Topeka Street on Friday at 2:20 p.m.

During the afternoon on Friday at 3:40 p.m., deputies responded to the report of identity theft in the 5200 block of Yearling Court.

At 4:20 p.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the report of a petty theft in the 6200 block of Claus Road.

On Friday at 4:20 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a stolen vehicle in the 2700 block of Stanislaus Street.

Deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, hit and run, property damage only, at the intersection of Howard Avenue and Ward Avenue on Friday at 6 p.m.

At 8:45 p.m. on Friday, deputies responded to an assist to Lake County Sheriff’s Department in the 5400 block of Roselle Avenue.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot on Friday at 9:15 p.m. and found a 35-year-old man to be in possession of fentanyl. He was booked at county jail.

On Thursday, Aug. 18 at 8:30 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, property damage only, at the intersection of Claus Road and Patterson Road.

At 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to the report of a vehicle burglary in the parking lot of Golden Chopstix.

On Thursday at 2:50 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, property damage only, at the intersection of Oakdale Road and Claribel Road.

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to the report of a road rage incident at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Country Manor Drive.

On Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 3:30 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, property damage only, in the 5800 block of Terminal Avenue.

On Wednesday at 11:30 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a mail theft in the 2200 block of Ashlar Way.

At 3:49 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, minor injuries, at the intersection of Patterson Road and Snedigar Road.

Deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, minor injuries, at the intersection of Callander Avenue and Stanislaus Street on Wednesday at 3:50 p.m.

At 5 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, property damage only, in front of the Crossroads Shopping Center.

Deputies responded to the report of a commercial burglary in progress in the 6400 block of Oakdale Road on Wednesday at 6:20 p.m. Two suspects broke into the closed business and stole property. The investigation is ongoing.

At 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to the report of a petty theft in the 6300 block of Tina Lane.

On Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 2:31 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 3600 block of Castlepark Drive on a report of a stolen vehicle. The deputies located the vehicle a few blocks away and it was returned to the owner.

Deputies responded to a road rage incident at the intersection of First Street and Atchison Street on Tuesday at 7:40 p.m. The suspect vehicle brandished a firearm at the victim and drove away. The investigation is ongoing.

On Monday, Aug. 15 at 4:12 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Claus Road and Patterson Road regarding a non-injury accident involving three vehicles. Deputies found that the result of the accident was inoperable traffic lights at this intersection. Sierra Railroad was conducting work on the tracks that was causing the signal lights to malfunction. All entities were contacted, and the malfunction was corrected.
