Two robbers got their way in Riverbank last week, one with a weapon and one without.
A man waving a handgun and concealing his face confronted two youths walking away from the area of the AM/PM Market and took their personal possessions, according to a Sheriff's Department sergeant. That happened around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19 at Colony Manor Drive and Oakdale Road near the gas station and convenience store they had just left.
Then on Saturday, April 23, two men "got into a fist fight over a cell phone" and one took it forcibly from the other in what police call a strong-arm robbery. The incident occurred near 2:50 p.m. in the 6100 block of Terminal Avenue, he officials added.
Both cases remain under investigation.
