Escalon’s United Methodist Church will be the site for a fundraising plant sale, scheduled for Saturday, April 2.
Put on by the Escalon-Farmington Community Garden Club, the sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The church is at 2000 Jackson Ave., corner of Highway 120 and Brayton, in Escalon and a wide variety of plants will be offered for sale.
Several members of the club gathered for a recent work day to get items ready for the sale and proceeds of the day will benefit youth scholarships.
Spending some time potting the plants at the work day were club members Lorraine Nicholson, Donna Martin, Lynda Stagno, Jeanette Parsons and Linda Zier.
Those attending the sale day will find everything from colorful, hardy flowers to vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, zucchini and more.
“We will also have some hanging baskets, some other vegetables and ornamentals,” said Nicholson. “Also some succulents and annuals.”
The club has had sales in the past but Nicholson said they expanded their offerings this year, in hopes of attracting even more buyers.
“We will have bargain prices,” she added.
