The Riverbank Unified School District Board of Education officially appointed Christine Facella, far right, as the new Superintendent of Riverbank Unified School District at the recent regular meeting. Facella’s official start date as the Superintendent was on Sept. 4; however, she has been part of the RUSD since the early 2000s. In 2014-15 she was appointed the Assistant Superintendent and had been in that role for five years. New teachers and administrators were also welcomed to the district with a small reception at the board meeting earlier this month.
