Love Riverbank is fast approaching, with the community work day scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29 starting at 9 a.m.
There are volunteers already signed up for a number of projects in the community but additional people are needed to help with work projects at Riverbank Christian Food Sharing and Riverbank Community gardens.
Love Riverbank grew out of the success of the project in neighboring Modesto, with the first actual event in Riverbank coming in 2009. Over the years, countless volunteers have helped support their community through projects at the library, city parks, helping seniors, and donating thousands of hours to benefit their neighbors.
