Stanislaus Consolidated Seeks Chief Applicants

Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District is inviting interested candidates to apply for the position of Fire Chief. Details can be found on the District’s website: www.scfpd.us. Cover letters and résumés will be accepted via email (recruitment@scfpd.us) until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018.

Meanwhile, the district’s Board of Directors will meet for a regular session on Thursday, July 12 at 6 p.m. in the Station 26 meeting room at 3318 Topeka St., Riverbank.

Among the items on the agenda: considering approval of the 2018-19 Stanislaus Regional Fire Investigation Unit Memorandum of Understanding, consider adoption of a resolution ordering the levy and collection of charges within the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District Special Benefit Assessment Rate for fiscal year 2018-19 and considering a resolution adopting the appropriations limit for FY 2018-19.

The board will also consider approving the district’s response to the 2017-18 Stanislaus County Civil Grand Jury report regarding independent fire districts and will provide direction to staff regarding possible revision/renewal of the agreement to provide fire services between the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District and the City of Oakdale.

Board members include President Susan Zanker, Vice President Michelle Guzman of Riverbank and directors Steve Green of Waterford, Dave Woods of Empire and Greg Bernardi.

Zanker and Bernardi are at large representatives on the board.
