Veterans’ Magazine Receives Accolades

The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of California’s publication ‘The California Veteran’ has been awarded the Silver Award in the VFW 2021 National Publications Contest’s Best Magazine category.

The California Veteran is a quarterly online magazine published by the Department of California, Veterans of Foreign Wars. The California Veteran is distributed to VFW members, California State Legislators, Elected Officials and made available online. The California Veteran exists to provide information concerning the activities of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of California and to keep department members informed of veterans’ issues, legislation, rights and benefits. It is a publication by veterans, for veterans.

The 2021 National Publications Contest covered publications from the 2020 calendar year. The Winter 2020 issue of The California Veteran was submitted for consideration.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. is a nonprofit veterans’ service organization composed of combat veterans and those who currently serve on active duty or in the Guard and Reserves.
