Weekend Robbery Sees Police Seeking Suspects

An Amazon delivery driver was robbed by two suspects on Sunday, May 1 at approximately 3:20 p.m. in the 5200 block of Damar Court near Heartland Drive in Riverbank. At press time on Tuesday, the investigation was still ongoing. according to officials with Riverbank Police Services.

The delivery driver was retrieving a package to deliver when two unidentified males entered the Amazon delivery van, said police. An unknown object was pressed against the drivers back and he was instructed to get out of the vehicle and get on the ground. The two suspects proceeded to steal packages from the truck while the victim was on the ground. They fled the area in a vehicle with the stolen goods and it is unknown how many packages were stolen from the van. It is also unknown if the suspects had a firearm.

There were no physical injuries reported to the delivery driver. The two suspects were still being sought.
