The next monthly luncheon/meeting of the Oakdale Women’s Club (OWC) is set for Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021 at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club, 243 N. Stearns Road, Oakdale. Held under the big tent adjacent to the Country Club’s building, the luncheon/meeting will begin at noon and is open to all members and their guests who wish to attend; cost of the luncheon is $23 for each person.

The Guest Speaker at this special event is Shellie LaMar, who represents the Family Support Network (FSN), a department of the Oak Valley Hospital District. Ms. LaMar’s talk will be about the work the FSN is doing for the community.

First established in 1993, the FSN’s mission is dedicated to providing “community outreach, health education, and resource and referral” for the benefit of many of the children and families who reside in Oakdale.

The Oakdale Women’s Club, a non-profit organization, has also asked its members to bring currently-dated canned food to the luncheon to be given to the under-privileged families of the area, which will then be distributed by the Family Support Network.
