Temperatures may have been a bit chilly, but there was sunshine and blue sky, as area youngsters packed Fish Park in Oakdale for a special event on Saturday morning, March 30.
Local business owner Jaylene Ponce was host for her third annual Customer Appreciation Egg Hunt, which featured some 4,750 eggs scattered around the park, with separate areas for different age groups and one for special needs children as well. The youngest group hunted on the tennis/pickleball courts at Fish Park while the older groups were spread out in the grassy areas.
Photos with the Easter Bunny kicked off the festivities, bright and early at 8:15 a.m.; with hunters assembling to hear the rules of the egg hunt at 8:45 a.m.
The formal scramble for the treat-filled eggs began at 9 a.m.
