Riverbank Parks and Recreation Department has opened sign-ups for a girls basketball camp for fifth and sixth graders.

It’s scheduled for Monday through Friday, June 29 through July 3, from 9 a.m. to noon and will be coached by Janell Luu.

The workouts will involve skills and drills to help players learn and grow alongside an experienced coach. Luu is a basketball alum of Riverbank High School, and a graduate of William Jessup University women’s basketball program in Rocklin.

She is currently the head coach for Riverbank High varsity Lady Bruin basketball.

Registration is being held done through the city’s web site: https:riverbank.recdesk.com/Community/Program. The fee is $65 and includes a basketball.

Officials say all experience levels are welcome.

The basketball camp will be held on the court at Silva Park, in Crossroads.
