Bruin golfers lost to Bret Harte and Patterson to drop their record to 1-6 - they defeated Escalon - but coach John Bartlett expects to see some wins in the next few weeks.

Riverbank lost to Bret Harte, 139-178, at the Escalon course on Tuesday. Ashlyn Reed shot a 40; Kendra Gibson, 44; Katie Gettling, 47; and Brooke Dougherty, 47.

"We've finished the tough part of the schedule," said Bartlett. "We're hoping for some wins in the next couple of weeks. We have four matches left against five teams. And Livingston and Hilmar are both young teams."

Riverbank also fell to Patterson 224-276 on the Patterson home course on Thursday. Laura Coker shot 61 for Riverbank; Jami Davidson, 70; Megan John, 72; Reed, 73; and Gettling, 73.

"That is the toughest, longest course in our league," said Bartlett, "and Patterson has a couple of seniors who have golfed for three or four years."

Riverbank golfers were scheduled to face Ripon on Tuesday, and they will go against both Livingston and Hilmar on Thursday.
