Some Riverbank High School Bruin teams have begun their Trans-Valley League schedules, while others will start in coming weeks. Here is a look at recent action on the court, field and links.

Boys Volleyball

The varsity boys team pulled off a pair of non-league victories last week, with a three games to one win at Delhi on Tuesday, March 13, followed by a three-straight match win, 25-19, 25-21 and 26-24, over the visiting Reds of Gustine on Thursday.

They were to host Livingston in their first TVL match on Tuesday, March 19 and host Ripon on Thursday, March 21.

Co-Ed Tennis

According to head coach Bruce Edwards, Riverbank lost 5-4 to Hughson on Wednesday, March 13, on the home courts. He said there might have been a mix-up with the Huskies’ lineup because of an injury, and he was expecting to check with section officials to see how to proceed.

The Bruins were to host Livingston Tuesday, March 19 and face off with Millennium on Friday, March 22.

Bruin Baseball

Riverbank’s varsity diamondmen fell in Hughson, 25-1, on Tuesday, March 12. They then hosted the Huskies on Thursday, March 14 and lost by a 23-3 final. Both games went just five innings in the start of their TVL season.

They were to host Escalon in a Tuesday, March 19 contest, then travel to Escalon for Thursday action, March 21.

Lady Bruin Softball

The softball girls traveled to Angels Camp recently to take on Bret Harte High School, winning 13-2. They continued with the last of their preseason campaign as they went to Tracy and lost there, 7-0.

Co-Ed Track and Field

RHS tracksters competed in the TVL Relays in Hughson on Thursday, and are scheduled to host Ripon on Wednesday afternoon. Then they’ll be competing in the County Clash in Oakdale for Stanislaus County on Friday.

Bruin Golf

Boys linksters headed to River Oaks Golf Course in Hughson last Thursday and were scheduled to travel to Oakdale Golf Country Club to take on Escalon on Monday this week. Next week, they’re to tee off in Livingston.
