For the influx of Riverbank High's aspiring fall athletes, the wait is finally over.

Monday, Aug. 9 marked the first official day of Fall Season sports practices around the region and the Bruin student-athletes began the long and arduous journey toward California Interscholastic Federation greatness.

Bruins will see action this fall in cross country, football, volleyball, boys soccer and girls golf. The competitors will pick up Trans-Valley League action in September after some preseason matches, with advancement into the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs on the mind.

In many cases, athletes have undergone grueling summer workouts and conditioning programs in preparation for this month's start to preseason action across the pitch, links, gridiron, court and cross-country course.
