Fishing Opportunity
park

Don’t forget; the California Department of Fish and Wildlife recently planted 500 pounds of trout at Oak Grove Regional Park.

Now open for fishing, park hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the park is at 4520 W. Eight Mile Road, Stockton.

Kids 15 and under fish for free. Those anglers 16 and older pay a $5 fee and a valid California fishing license is required for those over 16 as well.

Parking at Oak Grove Regional Park is $5 on weekdays, $6 on weekends and most holidays. Oak Grove is a 180-acre park with a lake for fishing and paddle boating, along with disc golf, a playground and picnic areas.

The trout has been planted, the weather is warming; come and see if the fish are biting. For more information, call 209-953-8800.
