St. Mary's Church will host its Third Annual St. Mary's Golf Tournament on Monday, Aug. 29 at Oakdale Golf and Country Club. Proceeds from this event will support St. Mary's Church and its many Catholic charities.

Tournament registration starts at 11 a.m. with lunch available. The event kicks off with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The registration fee of $150 includes lunch, 18 holes of golf, a cart, complimentary beverages on the course and a chicken and tri tip dinner following play. Each player will also receive a Tee Bag filled with golf necessities. The tournament format is a scramble and includes several flights so there are many opportunities for people to win. There will be a gross overall winner, and three net flight winners. There will also be contests on various holes for golfers to win prizes for shots closest to the hole, longest drive, etc.

The committee has been working hard to put together a great raffle and auction as well. A number of signed autographed sports memorabilia will be available featuring the San Francisco Giants, a few golf legends and more. There will be tickets to sporting events, golf certificates and much more. The live auction will feature catered dinner parties and a variety of other items.

Chairperson Ken Brown invites all non-golfers to join in on the fun for dinner following play but advanced reservations must be made. The cost for dinner is $40 per person. Sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $100 and can include a team at the gold level for $1000.

The tournament is a great day of fun and friendship, said organizers.

"We are grateful for the support of our sponsors, players, and volunteers who help to make this tournament a success," said Brown.
