The Riverbank High School golf team has lost its leading player, Clint Intorf .

"As of Tuesday, he's out for the rest of the season for disciplinary reasons," said coach John Bartlett.

Intorf was the team's most experienced and talented golfer, so their scores are likely to rise, he added.

The cut leaves the Bruins with four freshmen among their top six.

Bartlett said he will concentrate on training the younger players for next year. The Bruins are 0-7 in league so far. Their only win has been against Waterford, which also has a team of beginners

On March 30, Riverbank lost 266-313 to Patterson, and on Thursday, 210-266 to Ripon Christian.

Against Patterson, Bruin Kyle Vaughn shot 52, Vince Benham 56, Clint Intorf 60, Martin Moreno 66 and Patrick Dean 79.

In the Ripon Christian match, the Bruin scores were Walsh, 41; Benham, 42; Dean, 56; Moreno, 62; and Eric Claros, 65.

This week, the Bruins are slated to play Hughson on Tuesday and Ripon on Thursday. They have an Albert Croce Memorial Tournament scheduled for April 12, during the school's spring break.
