Bruin golfers won their first match on Friday over Livingston, although it was by forfeit.

Livingston only fielded four players. But Riverbank coach John Bartlett pointed out that his team would have won anyway if Livingston had run a full team of five golfers. Riverbank's first five totaled 262, which was the same score as Livingston's first four.

Riverbank's scores were Nick Hernandez, 49; Randy Franco, 49; Jose Jimenez., 53; Patrick Dean, 55; Nick Bos, 56; and Erik Claros, 57.

"It was our best team score to date. We are getting better," said Bartlett.

The match slated against Hilmar for March 22 was rained out. The Bruins next outing will be on Tuesday against Patterson, after this week's Easter vacation.
