After taking a 3-1 win off the court at home on Tuesday, the Riverbank varsity volleyball girls ran into a tough opponent on the road Thursday. They fell in that Trans-Valley League match to Hilmar by a 3-0 final.

Tuesday, the host Lady Bruins ran out to a 25-20, 25-9 two-game advantage before visiting Orestimba came back to win 19-25 in game three. Riverbank settled in and put the match away with a 25-19 final in game four, winning 3-1.

Hilmar, which featured a well-rounded team this season, did not allow Riverbank to get into any kind of rhythm and limited their points, taking an easy 6-25, 8-25, 7-25 victory off the court.

The girls are scheduled to host Ripon, another league foe, on Thursday, Oct. 3 and will need to be on their toes against the taller Ripon squad. Tuesday, Oct. 8, they travel to Hughson as the tough TVL schedule continues.
