The challenges that have hounded the Riverbank High volleyball program throughout the 2008 season continued as the Lady Bruins dropped their recent Trans-Valley League contest with the Ripon Indians.

Riverbank proved to be little match for the Indians, falling 3-0 (13-25, 14-25, 9-25) in the Ripon High gym. The Lady Bruins had nothing to hang their heads about, though, losing to one of the most dynamic teams in the area, let alone in TVL play.

The loss was Riverbank's sixth consecutive in TVL play and third on the season to the talented Ripon squad. The Lady Bruins have continued to fight no matter which league team they are competing against, yet the depth and skill of the Ripon team left Riverbank at an extreme disadvantage.

Riverbank will look to land is first win of the season when they make the trek to Ripon to take on the Ripon Christian Knights on Oct. 23 followed by a home stand against the Escalon Cougars on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Both contests are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. start times.
