Big Names Due In Stockton For All Pro Wrestling Show

All Pro Wrestling has entertained fans in the Bay Area and throughout California for decades, and for the first time ever they will be wrestling in Stockton. On Friday, Aug. 18 wrestling fans will pack the Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium to see APW Civic Slam ’17.

Featured on the card will be familiar faces from their days with the World Wrestling Entertainment: John Hennigan and The Hurricane Shane Helms. Hennigan jumped on the wrestling scene in 2002 when he won the World Wrestling Entertainment’s Tough Enough III reality series challenge. He made his in-ring debut in 2005 and has since gone on to be one of the most celebrated talents worldwide. Hennigan has wrestled for several companies including Lucha Underground, Pacific Coast Wrestling and 5 Star Wrestling. He has wrestled under several names including “Johnny Nitro,” “John Morrison” and “Johnny Mundo.” Hennigan has been highly successful in the ring winning over 25 title belts. He is scheduled to wrestle Timothy Thatcher at the APW event.

Helms made his squared circle debut in the late 1990s with World Championship Wrestling and went on to be one of the most beloved wrestlers by fans in the World Wrestling Entertainment in the early 2000s. He is known for his super hero alter ego “The Hurricane.” Helms is scheduled to battle Stryker.

Popular independent wrestlers also scheduled to make an appearance include Willie Mack, Brian Cage, Jeff Cobb, Penta El Zero M, Jacob Fatu and Stockton’s own Bobby Hart and much more. Bell time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
