Fall Sports Set For Cardozo Eagles
CMS1

With the start of the new school year, what better time is there to announce the upcoming fall sports schedule for Cardozo Middle School?

The busy slates for three sports have been released by school officials: Cross Country, Co-Ed Soccer, and Girls Volleyball.

The Eagles’ first and only cross country meet at home will be held in Jacob Myers Park on Sept. 5, starting at 4:30 p.m.

Subsequent Wednesday competitions will be held at Salida Middle School, Somerset, Savage and Knights Ferry, ending on Oct. 3, for a total of five meets.

The Soccer Eagles will play eight matches including four at home, on Sept. 11, 13, 20 and Oct. 4, with games staring at 3:30 p.m. or 3:45 p.m.

The Lady Eagle Volleyball players have the biggest schedule, with a season totaling 14 matches, topped with a seventh-grade and an eighth-grade tournament on Oct. 4. Their matches are to begin at 3:30 p.m., 3:45 p.m. or 4 p.m.

The schedules emphasize that there is not bus transportation provided to and from games, so parents will be arranging rides for their players.
