Concluding a week of Homecoming Activities on the Riverbank High campus, Bruin football took on the Galt Warriors at Angelo Novi Stadium on Friday, Oct. 2.

The home team got on the board with just under seven minutes remaining in the first half on a 40-plus yard run by Riverbank senior running back Tim Brown for a touchdown, bringing the score to 41-6 by the game’s midpoint.

Halftime was consumed by the Homecoming Queen and King coronations on the track in front of the grandstand.

High points in the second half included several impressive runs and a few passes. The Bruin defense was able to hold the Warriors to just one more touchdown and point after in the game.

Senior running back Joseph Crosby got the Bruins’ final TD through the middle of the defense and across the goal line with about 8:30 left on the clock.

Neither point-after attempts by Riverbank were good, both wide to the left of the goal posts, leaving 48-12 on the scoreboard at the end of the contest.

The JV Bruins were shut out, 27-0, in the early game.

VOLLEYBALL

The girls were to play in Ripon on Monday, Oct. 5, and they are to play host to Modesto Christian today, Oct. 7. Their next home game won’t be until Oct. 17, when Mountain House comes to town.
