Varsity Bruin kickers had two trips to the pitch this past week. On Monday, Nov. 25, it was in Sacramento, taking on Valley High School, and losing 5-1 in a scrimmage-like non-league match.
On Wednesday, they returned to a windblown, wet home field in Angelo Novi Stadium to welcome Enochs High from Modesto. The contest was fraught with wind and rain, and although the Bruins scored first, the visitors matched the tally by the end of the first half. With the elements increasing their fury, the second half continued in a wetter conflict.
The team was next to host McNair on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 4.
