Riverbank’s Jr. Bruin youth football teams again hosted games at the high school field this past Saturday.

The Stockton Jaguars came to town on Saturday, Sept. 30, with the local Futures team, the youngest players, receiving an official forfeit, with a few of the Riverbank players joining in with the other team to face off in a scrimmage for practice.

The Starts team, the next youngest, lost to Stockton, 25-0, while the Rookies won 13-6.

The JV squad fell 53-0 to the Jaguars, but the Varsity rolled up the visiting team, 33-12.

After playing four of the first five games of the season at home, the Jr. Bruins hit the road for the next few weeks, heading over to Modesto next Saturday to take on the Central Valley Jets, then, on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Gregori High School, they meet the Salida Steeler Jags.

The next week, on Saturday, Oct. 21, the Jr. Bruins return home, hosting the Central Valley Jets of Modesto.

They close out the 2017 season on the road, taking on the Lodi Jr. Flames at the Grape Bowl.
