With byes in their schedules this past week, game activity was light for Riverbank High School sports, but the end of the seasons are just on the horizon. Both Bruin football and Lady Bruin volleyball see their final home games here next week.

Tuesday, Oct. 17, was a bye for volleyball, but the girls hosted Ripon on Thursday last week, taking a three game loss, 25-8, 25-7 and 25-12 to the visiting Lady Indians. The girls were to host Modesto Christian High School yesterday, Oct. 24 with JV and varsity contests slated.

Last Friday, the varsity football team was off, and they are scheduled to host Big Valley Christian this week, on Friday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. There are no more JV games scheduled.

Both sets of games this week are the final home games of the 2017 season, and as such, will include a Senior Recognition Night by the Bruin Boosters prior to the start of the games.

The Lady Bruins take their volleyball to Hilmar tomorrow, Oct. 26 to finish up their season while Bruin football closes out in San Andreas against Sierra Ridge next Friday, Nov. 3.

Riverbank’s cross country runners had the past week to spend preparing for the final Trans-Valley League Meet of the season, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 25 in Modesto.
