Raider Game Trips Aid Local Charities

The baseball season is rolling into the final two months of play, but Luis Montanez of Turlock’s El Charro Restaurant is busy scheduling at least four bus trips to Oakland Raiders’ games in order to help NFL fans see a game or two, and to raise funds for various charities. Last year Montanez offered four games and ended up taking a dozen busses, as the response was far beyond what he expected.

To date, Montanez has scheduled four Raider games, and that just goes through November. He hopes to add more games if the turnout is good. The trip to see the Raiders play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 15 at 1:15 p.m. is offered at a cost of $100 per person, and that includes the bus ride, parking, a good seat at the game, and food and beverages at a tailgating party.

There will also be busses going to the Sept. 29 game with the Redskins for $125, the Oct. 27 game with the Steelers at $125, and a Nov. 3 game with the Eagles for $110.

To get your name on the Raiders’ bus list and reserve your spot, call Luis Montanez at 209-202-6577.
