Riverbank High School has announced its fall football schedule, with the first game on the road, in just over three weeks.

On Friday, Aug. 28, the Bruins travel to Waterford to take on the Wildcats to open the season.

Their first home game is against Big Valley Christian, from Modesto, on Sept. 4. The varsity game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The next game sees the Bruins against Delhi at home, on Sept. 11, then Linden at home on Sept. 18, followed by Brookside Christian of Stockton at home on Sept. 25, and hosting Galt High on Oct. 2, for five home games in a row.

The Bruins then travel for their final four games, to Amador High School in Sutter Creek on Oct. 9, to Merced for Stone Ridge Christian High on Oct. 16, then to Angels Camp for Bret Harte High School on Oct. 23, and finally, to Johansen in Modesto on Oct. 30 to round out the season.

Riverbank High has withdrawn from the Trans-Valley League for football and has chosen to create a schedule of independent games, looking to rebuild the program. New head coach this season is Kit Jory, who has already done a variety of team bonding events and has brought a new enthusiasm and attitude to the gridiron.
