Four Riverbank players took first team All-League honors, the squad had five Honorable Mentions, but they also had the Trans-Valley League Co-defensive MVP in Eric Hernandez.

Riverbank, this year’s Trans-Valley League champion, went on to the Section finals before falling there to Galt. Having 10 players recognized by league coaches and a second place showing in the section made for a hugely successful season.

Hernandez, a senior, shared the co-MVP defensive honors with Ruben Negrete of Orestimba, also a senior. Jamie DeBruyn of Ripon was Coach of the Year and the Offensive MVP honors went to Osiris Guerrero of Hilmar.

First team All-League selections for the Bruins included senior Jesus Yepez and juniors Emmanuel Moya, Rodrigo Quintero and Eduardo Estrada; taking Honorable Mention awards were freshman Edgar Garcia, sophomore Adrian Benitez and juniors Edson Duran, Oscar Jimenez and Robert Serrato.
