Volleyball Is First Up For RHS Home Matches

Riverbank’s Lady Bruin volleyball players will be first out of the box this high school fall sports season, at least on home territory.

The varsity girls will be hosting Johansen High School’s Lady Vikings in the Foundation Game on Monday, Aug. 20. It’s set to start at 7 p.m., and the evening features just the varsity competition for the Foundation event.

They volleyball squads then have two other matches scheduled for next week, on Tuesday, at Argonaut High School in Jackson, then at Downey High in Modesto on Thursday, Aug. 23. They play again at home on Monday, Aug. 27, hosting Gustine.

RHS girls golf starts their season on the road, taking on Ripon Christian at Jack Tone Golf Course on Monday, Aug. 20; then traveling to Stanislaus Golf Course to meet Hilmar on Tuesday. Their first home match will be played on the Escalon Golf Course at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23.

Cross country also gets underway next week, on the road at the Lodi Flame Invitational, on Friday, Aug. 24.

Bruin varsity football travels to Oakland on Saturday, Aug. 18, to take on the Madison Park Academy Trojan-Warriors. Game time is 3 p.m.
