Organized basketball in Riverbank got its final, official, bounce this past Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the Ray Fauria Memorial Gymnasium on the Riverbank High School campus.

Bruin Boosters and RHS coaches, along with present and former athletes, had put together the yearly Youth Basketball Clinic from Jan. 6 through Feb. 10 at the high school.

After two clinic days, there were four weeks of intramural games, broken down into age group contests each week. The first and second graders played at 9:15 a.m., third and fourth graders at 10:15 a.m., and fifth through eighth graders concluding the day, from 11:15 a.m. to noon each Saturday.

The All-Star teams taking the court for the special Wednesday program were made up of coach’s picks from fifth through eighth grade players during the run of the clinic, with one team wearing maroon (RHS) practice jerseys and the other team wearing white.
