Serena Palmer scored Riverbank's only goal in a soccer match against Ripon, which the Bruin girls lost by 10-1. Palmer received the pass from Courtney Nelson. Riverbank was playing away on May 3.

Bruin goalie Raquel Anguino made 12 saves, according to coach Roger Nelson before she was injured in the second half and replaced by Liz Medina-Meza, who made five more saves.

Playing a home game on Thursday against Hilmar, the Bruins lost, 2-0.

"It was a good game. We didn't make any successful shots, but we held them to just two goals," said Nelson.

Erica Fernandez guarded the Bruin goal this time and was credited with 12 saves.

The week's games left Riverbank with a 2-10-1 record and one match left to play. That was slated to happen in Patterson on May 10.
