With all the hoopla in place and the gigantic stage set, the Waterford Wildcats did everything they could to crash the Riverbank High Homecoming with a convincing 52-7 win in front of the hometown crowd.

Waterford rolled up over 400 yards of offense in handing the Bruins their first lopsided defeat on the young season. Riverbank could not muster any offense against the Wildcats, who jumped out to an insurmountable 38-7 lead.

The Homecoming crowd did get a chance to celebrate when Donovan Wallace provided the Bruins with an energy raising touchdown kickoff return.

Wallace raced 85 yards for yet another touchdown return for the Riverbank Bruins this season. Trans-Valley League foes will have no choice but to be accountable for Wallace's whereabouts on each and every kickoff and punt return, as he has scored most of his touchdowns on just those types of plays.

The Wildcats did not have a rusher eclipse the 100-yard mark, but three of Waterford backfield mates were able to rush for over 90 yards on the ground. The Bruins will have to do a better job against the run in their next contest against LeGrand if they want to get back in the win column.

Le Grand will be coming into the contest on the heels of a 25-0 beating at the hands of Turlock Christian. The Bulldogs will be at home, where they are 1-1 on the season.

Riverbank will have to put together a solid game plan if they plan on grabbing their second win of the season in LeGrand. The Bulldogs tore through Livingston High 27-0, so the squad has seen the possibilities that they can reach.

The Bruins will need the offensive line to step up and create operating room for Wallace and company in the backfield. Riverbank's match with LeGrand will be the team's final tune up before the TVL schedule gets under way for the Bruins as they play host to the Modesto Christian Crusaders on Oct. 17 in the league opener for both squads.
