Softball Squad, Baseball Players Fit In Spring Games

Both Riverbank baseball and softball teams were able to get in a few contests this past week, avoiding some of the rain in the area.

 

RHS Softball

The Lady Bruins managed to get in three games last week, starting with an 11-5 win over Big Valley Christian High School’s Lions from Modesto, at home on Monday, Feb. 25.

They fought through some raindrops on the home field the next day, but fell 16-4 to Chavez High School from Stockton. On Friday, March 1 they traveled to Mariposa County High School for a 13-1 loss.

All three were pre-season games.

They were to play in Denair on Monday, March 4 before participating in the Rainbow Tournament late in the week.

 

Bruin Baseball

Riverbank boys took an 8-2 loss at the hands of the visiting Mountain House Mustangs on Monday, Feb. 25.

They were scheduled to play at Johansen High School in Modesto on Friday, but no score had been reported as of press time.

Riverbank was set to host Waterford on Monday this week, travel to Lathrop on March 6, and go to Modesto’s Davis High School on Friday, all weather permitting.

 

Bruin Boys Volleyball

Now in its second season, Riverbank was to host St. Mary’s in volleyball action on Tuesday, in the Ray Fauria Memorial Gymnasium, kicking off their home season, then travel to West High School on March 6. They’ll next play at home on March 12, hosting Big Valley Christian.

 

Boys Golf Team

The Bruin linksters were to travel to Livingston on Tuesday, then host Hughson on the Jack Tone Golf Course in Ripon for a March 6 match.
