The YMCA of Stanislaus County is currently offering an aquatics safety course at 2700 McHenry Avenue in Modesto.

This class is designed for parents or other caregivers and teaches basic water safety skills and drowning prevention. It also meets the state required water safety portion of childcare licensing.

The two-hour course costs $35 and is set up by appointment. Classes are open to the public and current YMCA membership is not required.

The Stanislaus County YMCA offers a wide variety of group exercise classes for ages 12- and-over.

Classes are designed to fit a variety of schedules and suit all levels of exercisers. There are classes in Pilates, Cardio Kick BodyPUMP amd Yoga as well as some designed for the fitness-minded senior.

Schedules and registration forms can be picked up at the YMCA building. Current YMCA membership is required for participation.
