Social distancing and wearing masks remain a necessity, and with just weeks left before the next school year is set to begin, the Senior Spotlight continues to shine. This week, the focus is on 2020 RHS grad Amanda Weaver.

Playing this year on two Lady Bruin teams, she played both volleyball, in the fall, and softball in the COVID abbreviated spring season.

Girls Volleyball

A solid performer for the Lady Bruins on the volleyball court, Weaver was known for an accurate serve and also helped block and spike at the net. She was instrumental several times in helping her team extend, then win Trans-Valley League matches on the home court.

Lady Bruin Softball

With the onset of the COVID pandemic earlier this year, the girls softball season was severely curtailed when classes, and high school sports, were abruptly canceled in the middle of March. They only got in a couple of games, but Weaver was able to contribute at the plate for her varsity squad and also saw some action in right field, running down fly balls.
