The Riverbank High track and field program made sure to be the best hosts they could possibly be, as the Bruin program raced off to Trans-Valley League championships in both divisions at Riverbank High on May 7.

The girls had little difficulty running to victory, outscoring their TVL counter parts by nearly 50 points in the TVL finale. The Lady Bruins put up 145.5 points, outscoring Hughson (109.5) and Escalon (99) to bring home the title.

Jennifer Manriquez chipped in in a major way, tossing the Lady Bruins to victory in the shot put and the discus for two first place finishes. Tayler Anderson took care of business in the mile, running the 1600 in 5:46 for a TVL title.

Karina Duarte paced herself to a victory in the 3200, while Marissa Miglin outraced everyone in the league in the 300 hurdles. Erikka Garza just missed out on a victory in the 100 meter hurdles and also grabbed a third place finish in the 300 hurdles.

Tora Robertson's leap of over 33-and-a-half feet in triple jump was good for the TVL crown. Kendra Barth finished with a second place finish behind Manriquez in the discus.
