Riverbank High's varsity boys basketball team will see their first regular season contests in a stretch of games starting on Thursday, Dec. 2 at their host tournament, the annual Ron Peterson Tip-Off Tournament.

The eight-team tournament will pit Riverbank against the likes of Waterford, Ripon Christian (2009 Ron Peterson Tip-Off champs), Summerville, Oakdale, Hilmar, Calaveras and Denair across three days of action.

The Bruins open with Waterford in first round action at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 2 with additional games on Dec. 3 and 4.

"It's a great tournament because we see the same teams year after year and it really is a good group of coaches," 15-year Bruin coach Jeff Jennings said. "It's also a wide variety of team styles, so you get a good mix of teams to see."
