3-0 Win

The Riverbank High School Spikers began the volleyball season with a 3-0 win over Delhi before an appreciative home crowd on Wednesday.

"We played very well. We've been working on building a new defense and it came off well," said Bruin coach Lisa Mila. "The girls are learning to be aggressive and yet hit with control."

Winning all three games, the Bruins were ahead 25-15, 25-22 and 25-18.

Sonia Naranajo served 12 aces. The team totalled 28 aces compared with eight missed serves.

"Chelsi Walls played well in attack, was very aggressive and put a lot of pressure on our opponent," said Mila.
