Stanislaus County YMCA is currently registering for its next session of swim lessons, starting the first week of July. All lessons will take place in one of two indoor pools at 2700 McHenry Avenue in Modesto.
Lessons are conducted in two-day-per week sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays, or one-day per week sessions on Saturdays. Sessions run for four-week periods and lessons are available year-around.
A current schedule of class times is available through the YMCA Service center. Current YMCA facility or program membership is required to participate in swim lessons.
YMCA-trained instructors teach in a small group setting. Sessions are available for parents and children starting at six months old and for children individually beginning at age three. Children can progress from beginning to advanced in their own age group.
