The Riverbank Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting at the brand new Wendy’s restaurant in Crossroads West recently. On Thursday, Aug. 7, Mayor Rachel Hernandez, Council Member Luis Uribe, city staff, members of the chamber, along with Frosty and young Wendy, herself, joined owner Nick Dhillion, partner Mark Sutey and general manager Kevin Cortez as they sliced the big red ribbon across their main entrance. Dhillion asked the crowd if they knew why Wendy’s burger patties were square. When no one could respond, he said, “Because we don’t cut corners.”
