Deputies in the City of Riverbank stayed busy, responding to multiple calls during the past week. Among them were a stolen vehicle, along with vandalism and driving under the influence.

On Sunday, Sept. 4 at 1:55 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for vehicle code violations near Highway 108 and Claus Road. The 24-year-old driver was arrested for DUI.

On Saturday, Sept. 3 at 1 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a vandalism in the 3700 block of Kentucky Avenue.

On Friday, Sept. 2 at 5:40 a.m., deputies responded to the report of an unoccupied stolen vehicle at the Chevron gas station. Two subjects inside the store were detained and later arrested after checking the video. Subjects identified as Miguel Hernandez, 29, and Jovita Morales, 26, were arrested.

At 7:37 a.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the report of a stolen vehicle in the 5800 block of Webb Street.

On Friday at 12 p.m., deputies responded to an abandoned stolen vehicle in the 3700 block of Sierra Street.

Deputies responded to the report of pan handlers in front of Target on Friday at 1 p.m. Police said a woman was contacted pan handling using her child to ask for money in 104-degree heat. The woman had no water for her child and was arrested for child abuse and trespassing.

During the afternoon on Friday at 2 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, property damage only, at the intersection of Patterson Road and Terminal Avenue.

At 2:40 p.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the report of a sexual assault in the 7000 block of Dunbar Lane. A juvenile suspect was arrested. The investigation is still ongoing.

Deputies observed a vehicle impeding traffic at the intersection of Oakdale Road and Claribel Road on Friday at 11:10 p.m. The 24-year-old driver was arrested for DUI.

On Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7:37 a.m., deputies responded to a vehicle collision at Second Street and Atchison Street.

At 10:13 a.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to 3800 Patterson Road for a subject with a warrant. A 59-year-old man was arrested and booked into the Sheriff’s Detention Center.

On Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 8:44 a.m., deputies responded to 5300 Claus Road for a report of vandalism. Four trailers on the lot had been broken into. The investigation is ongoing.

At 2:43 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to a robbery at Save Mart. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies responded to a vehicle collision at 6:16 p.m. on Wednesday.

Deputies responded to a family fight on Wednesday at 9:46 p.m.

At 11:08 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to a traffic collision at Atchison and Fourth streets.

On Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 11:34 a.m., deputies arrested a 26-year-old man for a warrant.

At 9:41 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies were on a security check of a person yelling at the sky. The subject, a 38-year-old man, was arrested for being drunk in public.

On Monday, Aug. 29 at 11:56 p.m., deputies took a report of a possible kidnapping, it appeared to be a scam as the possible victim was from the Los Angeles area and the friend had only talked to her on the phone. The call was unfounded.
