Food distribution on April 26
wic increase
An increased benefit for WIC recipients now through September will allow families enrolled in the program to buy and consume more healthy fruits and vegetables.

The St. Mary’s parish community, along with Second Harvest, will be having its monthly food distribution on Friday, April 26 at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church parking lot, on the corner of North Oak and Olive in Oakdale.

Items distributed are fruits and vegetables, dairy such as cheese, milk, yogurt, breads and cereal, juice, as well as occasional pastries and other items donated by Starbucks.

There is no income screening; all are welcome. There is a rolling cart provided to help attendees take items back to their vehicles, but those planning to attend can also bring their own bags or rolling wagons.
