Season winding down for Riverbank spring sports

Though there’s only a few weeks left in the Trans-Valley League spring schedule, Riverbank varsity baseball found victory on their diamond last week, as did the Lady Bruin softball squad. Here is a look at the latest contest for spring athletes on the RHS campus.

 

Bruin Baseball

Riverbank varsity baseballers split a pair of games with Modesto Christian, losing a squeaker 12-11 on Tuesday, April 9 on the road, but winning, going away, on the home field on Thursday by a final of 17-7.

This week, they were to play at Hilmar on April 16, and host the Yellowjackets on Thursday, April 18.

 

Lady Bruin Softball

The RHS girls went to Hughson on Tuesday, April 9, pulling out an 8-7 victory, then hosted Livingston on Friday, while delivering an 11-6 win from the Lady Wolves.

This week, they were to play at Hilmar on April 17, then host Ripon on Friday.

 

Co-Ed Tennis

The Bruin netters hosted Ripon on Tuesday last week, finishing with a 5-4 victory, then traveled to Livingston on Friday.

This week, they’ll be busy, as they had a match scheduled at Millennium in Tracy on Tuesday, then hosting the Trans-Valley League Tournament all day on Friday and Saturday.

 

Co-Ed Track & Field

On April 17, Riverbank’s runners, jumpers and throwers are to have a dual meet at Hilmar, then host the German Fernandez Distance Carnival on Friday at Angelo Novi Field, April 19.

 

Bruin Boys Volleyball

Riverbank lost in three straight sets to Stone Ridge Christian High School on Tuesday, April 9, then fell by the same 3-0 score to Livingston on Thursday.

They were to play in Ripon on April 16 and then host the Hilmar Yellowjackets on Thursday, April 18.

 

Bruin Boys Golf

Riverbank is set to play in the next TVL Tournament, hosted by Livingston at the Turlock Golf and Country Club on April 18.
