Freshmen head to RHS for special orientation
8-6 orientation
Riverbank High School Principal Ed Vaca waits to address the incoming freshmen during the Friday, Aug. 1 orientation program on campus. He is wearing the pink and white T-shirt also worn by staff and the upperclassmen who are part of the Leadership Class that is available during the year to help the new Bruins. With classes scheduled to resume this week around the Riverbank Unified School District campuses, Riverbank High School’s incoming freshmen, making up the Class of 2029, got the jump on the year with their freshman orientation, in the Fauria Gymnasium, on Friday, Aug. 1. To get things started on a positive note, at the beginning of the morning, teacher Cassi Ross helped guide the freshmen through some team building exercises.

She also introduced Principal Ed Vaca, members of the RHS Counseling Staff, Office Staff and others. Scattered throughout the bleachers on Friday, dressed in pink and white T-shirts, were upperclassmen, members of the Leadership Class on the RHS campus, who will be available to help the freshmen as the school year rolls on. The orientation festivities for the Class of 2029 ran from 8 a.m. to noon.
