This past week, members of the media were invited to a Great Wolf Lodge Northern California hard hat tour; the new location in Manteca is set to open on July 1, 2020. The 500 room family resort on 29 acres off of Highway 120 will feature a large 95,000 square foot indoor waterpark that includes water slides and a water play area for the whole family. There will be a 45,000 square foot indoor adventure park that has a variety of activities like a ropes course, miniature golf, and arcade.

The Great Wolf Lodge cannot be missed as it is a large attraction that can be seen for miles right off of the highway at 19088 McKinley Ave. in Manteca.

There were several media outlets in attendance including newspaper and television. General Manager Alana Ostrowski of the Northern California Lodge, CEO Murray Hennessy, and Manteca Mayor Benjamin Cantu spoke to guests prior to the March 4 tour. The guests were separated into different groups and were taken on the tour with a tour guide that explained what everything was going to be as it was still under construction.

Although there seemed to be much more work needed and that they were far from completion, Hennessy announced that instead of pushing the completion date of Aug. 1 out further they have pushed the date up to opening on July 1, ahead of schedule.

The CEO stated that Manteca was selected so that people from the Bay area, Sacramento, and Yosemite could have easy access to it.

“I think Great Wolf is a game changer for the community,” said Cantu. “We are redesigning Manteca for the future.”

There will be day passes available and restaurants that are food allergy friendly. They will also have a candy store and retail stores. Families can reserve an outdoor cabana at the pool. They have packages and rooms that can fit 12 to 14 people.

Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. has other indoor waterparks throughout the country like Wisconsin, Ohio, Kansas, Texas, Colorado, and now Manteca, California.
