CENTENNIAL SCENE

Riverbank District 1 Councilmember Luis Uribe shows new decorations on the walls inside the Riverbank Council Chambers. With the Riverbank Centennial Gala Celebration coming up, the city had enlargements made of some local historical photos from the museum next door to City Hall North. This photo is of the Burneyville Ferry, which ran across the Stanislaus River in the gold rush era, near where Jacob Myers Park is today. In the past, pre-COVID, the walls of the council chambers were decorated with artwork, paintings and photographs, created by local artists. The Centennial Gala "A Roaring Good Time" will be held on Saturday, March 5 at the Community Center.
